Dominican Ranked Seventh In Latest NCBWA Poll
RINDGE, N.H. (April 3, 2006) The University of Massachusetts Lowell has taken over the top spot in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Northeast Regional rankings. The poll was conducted by the regions six-member committee.

UMass Lowell Takes Top of NCBWA Northeast Regional Poll
Dominican Ranked Seventh In Latest NCBWA Poll
RINDGE, N.H. (April 3, 2006) - The University of Massachusetts Lowell has taken over the top spot in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Northeast Regional rankings. The poll was conducted by the region's six-member committee.
UMass Lowell (20-3), winners of 15 of its last 16, received four of the six first place votes by the committee. Franklin Pierce (17-7), who had held the top spot for four-straight weeks, received a first place vote and is ranked second, followed by Southern Connecticut State University (16-8) in third, Pace University (17-6), who received the remaining first place vote, in fourth and the University of New Haven (15-5) rounds out the top five. The complete top ten is listed below.
The NCBWA's Northeast Regional committee for 2006 is Doug Monson, Sports Information Director at Franklin Pierce (coordinator), Ken Johnson, SID at Saint Anselm, Chuck Sadowski, SID at New Haven, Jennifer Mischke, SID at Molloy, Tony Berich, Assistant AD/SID at Philadelphia and Bob Heller, Assistant AD/SID at University of Sciences in Philadelphia.
The NCBWA Division II Northeast Regional poll is in no way affiliated with the NCAA Division II Tournament selection committee rankings.
