Fourth-Seeded Southern Connecticut And
#5 Dominican Halted In Ninth Inning
Game ten suspended due to rain;
 Owls hold 9-5 lead in the bottom of the ninth inning

Rindge, N.H. (May 21, 2006) - Fourth-seeded Southern Connecticut State University and fifth-seeded Dominican College played eight and a half innings before being halted by rain in game ten of the 2006 NCAA Division II Northeast Regional at Dr. Arthur and Martha Pappas Field this afternoon. The Owls hold a 9-5 advantage over the Chargers with two outs remaining in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Southern Connecticut (35-18) and Dominican College (42-17) will resume game ten tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. The winner of game ten will face top-seeded and host, Franklin Pierce (42-11) forty-five minutes after its conclusion for the Northeast Regional Championship and a berth in the 2006 Division II College World Series held in Montgomery, Ala., beginning next Saturday.
