CHARGERS BASEBALL RANKED SEVENTH IN LATEST NCBWA NORTHEAST REGION POLL

Rindge, NH (5/5/08) Bryant University is
ranked first in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of
America's (NCBWA) Division II Northeast Regional poll for the
second-straight week.
Bryant (37-15, 25-5) received seven of eight fi rst place votes this week after capturing the Northeast-10 Conference regular season championship over the weekend. The Northeast-10 boasts the top four teams in this week's rankings, with Franklin Pierce (35-12, 20-10 NE-10) ranked second and receiving the remaining first place vote. Southern Connecticut State (33-15, 23-6 NE-10) is ranked third, while Pace University (30-21, 18-12 NE-10) rounds out the quartet of NE-10 teams. Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference member Caldwell College (29-17, 18-9 CACC) rounds out the top five, while Dowling College (28-16, 17-10 ECC) is the first East Coast Conference member in the poll at sixth. The complete top ten, with all teams receiving votes is listed below.
