ADELPHI UNIVERSITY TURNS BACK DOMINICAN COLLEGE CHARGERS

Garden City, NY (3/18/09) The visiting Dominican College baseball team lost a non-conference game to the Adelphi University Panthers, 7-0, this afternoon at Bonomo Field.

Garden City, NY (3/18/09)  The visiting Dominican College baseball team lost a non-conference game to the Adelphi University Panthers, 7-0, this afternoon at Bonomo Field.

The Chargers were held to just four hits in the game as Michael Munoz (Bronx, NY), Dan Robinson (Massapequa, NY), Xavier Bonilla (Bronx, NY) and Willie Mann (Patterson, NY) all had hits.

Starter Cody Smith (Wales, WI) went five innings, allowing six runs on 10 hits in the loss.  Joe Zaccaro (Washingtonville, NY) came in for the final three innings.

Dominican falls to 6-4 with the loss.

The Chargers are back in action on tomorrow when they travel to Dowling College.
