Dominican scored a run in the top of the first as sophomore outfielder Dan Robinson (Massapequa Park, NY) had an RBI single through the right side to score Dan Perlleshi (Tuckahoe, NY) who was hit by a pitch to get on base.
DC added to the lead with two runs in the third as Robinson had an RBI infield single and Perlleshi later stole home to put the Chargers up 3-0. Robinson brought in the game's final run in the top of the ninth on another infield RBI single.
Robinson led the team, going 3-4 with 3 RBIs. Third basemen Michael Munoz (Bronx, NY) added two hits in the win.
Freshman Victor Cosme (Brooklyn, NY) improved to 1-0 on the year in seven innings of work, scattering three hits and striking out three. Dominick Ruscitti (Chester, NY) picked up his first save of the year in two innings of work, allowing one hit and two strikeouts.
With the victory Dominican improves to 14-8 overall, while Pace falls to 9-15-1.
The Chargers are back in action tomorrow in another non-conference game against St. Thomas Aquinas College. Game time is set for 3pm at Veteran's Memorial Park.
