Dominican Golf Wins Le Moyne spring Invitational

Marcellus, NY (4/17/06) The Dominican College men's golf team bested Pace University in a tie breaker to win the Le Moyne College Spring Invitational this past weekend held at Sunset Ridge Golf Course.

Marcellus, NY (4/17/06)  The Dominican College men's golf team bested Pace University in a tie breaker to win the Le Moyne College Spring Invitational this past weekend held at Sunset Ridge Golf Course.

The Chargers shot a combined team total on 306 on the first day and came back to fire a tournament low 298 on the second day for a final score of 604.  Pace University shot a 299 on day one and a 305 on the second day for a 604 total, but DC won the tiebreaker with the individual scores to take the crown.

Sophomore Brian Mackey (Chestnut Ridge, NY) finished in first place in the individual standings, firing a round of 68 on day one and a 71 on day two to finish with a 139 total score, which was five under par.  A.J. Lee (Nanuet, NY) in a four way tie for fifth place, shooting rounds of 74 on both days for a 148 total.

Justin Jacaruso (Suffern, NY) finished in a four way tie for 17th place after shooting a 78 in round one and a 76 in round two fora 154 total.
