Mackey Finishes Fourth At NCAA Golf Regional

Blauvelt, NY (5/9/07) Brian Mackey, a golfer at Dominican College, finished fourth at the 2007 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Northeast Regional Championship being held at the Speidel Golf Club in Wheeling, WV.

Mackey Finishes Fourth At NCAA Golf Regional 

Blauvelt, NY (5/9/07) Brian Mackey, a golfer at Dominican College, finished fourth at the 2007 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Northeast Regional Championship being held at the Speidel Golf Club in Wheeling, WV.

Mackey, a junior from Chestnut Ridge, NY, was among five individuals chosen from the Northeast Region to compete in the tournament who was not a member of a qualifying team.  He finished fourth out of 45 individuals at the Championships.

 After the first day, Mackey was in a tie for eighth place, shooting a round of 78.  On day two, he followed with another round of 78 for a two day total of 156 (+14) which moved him up one spot into a tie for seventh place.

He finished the last day of competition with, shooting a 71 with two birdies to finish two over par.  His three day total was a 229 (+16) to put him four strokes behind the leader who finished with a 225.
