CHARGERS GOLF FINISH SEVENTH AT 4TH ANNUAL PETER KING MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT

Riverhead, NY (4/8/08)  The Dominican College golf team finished seventh out of sixteen teams at the 4th Annual Peter King Memorial Golf Tournament hosted by Dowling College at the Long Island National Golf Course this past Sunday and Monday.

As a team, the Chargers shot a 317 on the first day and a 314 on day two for a team total of 631 (+63) to put them in seventh place behind Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) fellow member Post University, Pace University, Adelphi University, Dowling College, St. Thomas Aquinas College and CACC opponent Wilmington University.

Senior Brian Mackey (Chestnut Ridge, NY) finished in third place to lead the Chargers with a final score of 148 (75, 73) to be six strokes above par.

Junior AJ Lee (Nanuet, NY) finished in a three-way tie for 32nd place with rounds of 85 and 74 for a two day total of 159 (+17).

Freshman Thomas Lalonde (Red Hook, NY) had a four-way tie for 35th place with a total score of 160 (78, 82, +18).

Brian Kivlehan (Mahwah, NJ) tied for 49th place with a total score of 164 (79, 85 +22).
