DOMINICAN'S MACKEY QUALIFIES FOR NCAA SUPER REGIONAL
Orangeburg, NY (4/29/08) Dominican College men's golfer, Brian Mackey, has qualified as an individual for the upcoming NCAA men's golf Northeast Regional Tournament as was announced by the NCAA this past Friday.
The Northeast/East Super Regional will be held at the St. Anne's Golf Club in Middletown, DE hosted by Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent, Wilmington University. The Super Regional will begin on Monday, May 5 and end on Wednesday, May 7.
The top team from each region within the super regional and the top individual not with a team from each super regional (regardless of region) will advance to the finals May 14-17 at the Division II Spring National Championships Festival in Houston, Texas. The finals will be hosted by Rice University and the Harris County-Houston Sports Authority.
Mackey, a senior from Chestnut Ridge, NY, is
making his fourth appearance at the NCAA Super Regional after
finishing the year as the top golfer in the Northeast Region.
He is a four time All-CACC member and a two time NCAA Division II
Northeast All-Region Team selection.
