MACKEY MOVES INTO FIRST PLACE AT NCAA SUPER
REGIONALS

golfer, Brian Mackey, has moved into first place
at the NCAA Super Regionals being held at Back Creek Golf Course in
New Castle, DE.
After being in third place to start the second round after shooting a 73 yesterday, Mackey fired off a round of 69 (-2) today to have a two day total of 142 (E) to put him in the lead by five strokes.
Mackey, a senior from Chestnut Ridge, NY, had five birdies on the day, one on the back nine where he started off, and four straight birdies to start off the front nine to finish with a score of 69 (-2).
Brant Kummerfeld of Adelphi University is in second place with a two day total of 147 (+5).
The top team from each region within the super regional and the top individual not with a team from each super regional (regardless of region) will advance to the finals May 14-17 at the Division II Spring National Championships Festival in Houston, Texas. The finals will be hosted by Rice University and the Harris County-Houston Sports Authority.
