CHARGERS GOLF FINISH NINTH AT DOWLING COLLEGE SEPTEMBER SHOOT-OUT 

Blauvelt, NY (9/17/07)  The Chargers golf squad finished in a tie for ninth place at Dowling College September Shoot-Out held at the Long Island National Golf Course yesterday and today.

Dominican was in seventh place after day one with a combined score of 312 and shot a round of 325 on day two for a 637 final team score to tie them with host Dowling College.  Assumption College finished the tournament with a 605 total score to take the team title.  Fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) member, Wilmington College, took seventh place with a 634 score, while Goldey-Beacom College finsihed eleventh (639) and Nyack College took fourteenth place with a 674 total score.

Senior captain Brian Mackey (Chestnut Ridge, NY) was the top finisher for DC with a 149 total score, shooting a 75 in round one and a 74 in round two.  Junior AJ Lee (Nanuet, NY) shot a 158 with rounds of 76 and 82.  

Freshman Thomas Lalonde (Red Hook, NY) finished third for Domincian with a 165 score, while  Michael Ciaravino (Islip Terrace, NY) and Brian Kivlehan (Mahwah, NJ) shot a 167 and 169 to round out the Charger scoring.

The golf team is back in action on Sunday and Monday, September 23rd and 24th at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships hosted by LeMoyne College at the Drumlins Golf Course.
