CHARGERS GOLF FINISH SEVENTH AT WILMINGTON UNIVERSITY SPRING CLASSIC
Middletown, DE (3/14/10) The Dominican College golf team opened up the spring portion of their season by finishing in seventh place at the Wilmington University Spring Classic held at Frog Hollow Golf Course.
Middletown, DE (3/14/10) The Dominican College golf team opened up the spring portion of their season by finishing in seventh place at the Wilmington University Spring Classic held at Frog Hollow Golf Course.
St. Thomas Aquinas University took home the team title with a final score of 291, followed by host Wilmington University (294), St. John Fisher College (297), Dowling College (302), Swarthmore College (308) and Neumann College (309). Dominican finished with a team score of 391, followed by the College of St. Rose (324) and Holy Family University (325).
Dominican senior Brian Kivlehan (Mahwah, NJ) was the top finisher for the Chargers as he finished in a two-way tie for fifth place with a score of 72 (37, 35). Teammate Michael Ciabattari (New Hampton, NY) finished in a four-way tie for 32nd place with a total score of 79 (38, 41), while freshman Jeffrey Sabella (Bud Lake, NJ) had a total score of 82 (39, 43) to finish in 39th place.
Lewis Morse (Aurora, NY) shot rounds of 46 and 40 to finish with a 86 total score and in 47th place to round out the team scoring for Dominican.
Sophomore Bryan Romagnoli (Waldwick, NJ) finished in 49th place with a combined score of 100 (50, 50).
The golf team is back in action next Friday when they place in the St. Thomas Aquinas Spring Invitational to be played at the Rum Pointe Golf Course in Ocean City, MD.
