CHARGERS GOLF FINISH 14TH AT NEC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Bloomfield, CT (9/22/09) The Dominican College men's golf team finished 14th out of 17 teams at the 2009 NEC Championships which was held at Wintonbury Hills this past Sunday and Monday.

Bloomfield, CT (9/22/09)  The Dominican College men's golf team finished 14th out of 17 teams at the 2009 NEC Championships which was held at Wintonbury Hills this past Sunday and Monday.

As a team, Dominican shot a total score of 660 (+100) with rounds of 330 each day.

Senior Brian Kivlehan (Mahwah, NJ) was the top finisher for the Chargers with a total score of 160 (78, 82) to put him in a seven-way tie for 39th place.  Teammate James Reppert, Jr (Joppatowne, Maryland) finished in a two-way tie for 49th place with a total score of 162 (80, 82).

Freshman Michael Ciabattari (New Hampton, NY) shot rounds of 83 and 81 for a 164 score to finish in a four-way tie for 52nd place.  Fellow freshmen Lewis Morse (Aurora, NY) tied for 72nd place with a 178 combined score (93, 85) and Jefffrey Sabella (Budd Lake, NJ) finished in 76th place with rounds of 89 and 92 for a total 181 score.

The Chargers are back in action this coming Sunday when they take part in the Dowling College September Shoot out being held at Long Island National Golf Course.
