Post University Defeats Dominican College, 74-58

Blauvelt, NY (1/24/06)The Post University Eagles men's basketball team defeated the Dominican College Chargers men's basketball team, 74-58 this evening at the Hennessy Center.

The Eagles had five players in double figures, led by Peter Lawal (Uniondale, NY) with 17 points and a team leading nine rebounds. Jesse Iyalekhue (Bronx, NY) and Justin Skipwith (Poughkeepsie, NY) each netted 13 points, while Iyalekhue had three assists and six rebounds. Arthur Robertson (Far Rockaway, NY) and James Lee (Montreal, QU) added 10 points a piece in the win.

The Chargers had two players in double figures. Tahiem Stewart (Harlem, NY) and Prince Jackson (Schenectady, NY) had 12 points each in the loss. Stewart added four assists and two steals, respectively. Freshman Kazeem Famuyide (Staten Island, NY) exploded off the bench for seven points in the final minutes of play.

With the win, the Eagles improve to 7-10 overall and 6-6 in the CACC, while the Chargers fall to 4-12 overall and 3-8 in the CACC.

Dominican will be back in action on Saturday, January 28th as they host the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia for the 19th Annual Bobby Mulligan Game at the Hennessy Center. Game time is 3pm.
