Philadelphia University Pulls Past Dominican Chargers, 74-71

Philadelphia, PA (2/4/06) The Philadelphia University men's basketball team defeated the Dominican College men's basketball team, 74-71 this afternoon at the Harris Gymnasium.

The Chargers had two figures in double figures, led by junior forward Prince Jackson (Schenectady, NY) with 27 points, four assists and two steals. Senior Tahiem Stewart (Harlem, NY) had 16 points, eight rebounds, two assists and four blocks.

The Rams had three players in double figures led by Tayron Thomas with a game leading 34 points and four assists. Mike Dunn had 18 points, while Christian Burns had the game's only double-double with 15 points and 18 rebounds in the win.

With the win, the Rams improve to 16-8 and 11-4 in the CACC, while the Chargers fall to 7-14 overall and 6-10 in the CACC.

Dominican is back in action on Tuesday February 7th when they host New Jersey Institute of Technology in a CACC match up. Game time is 8pm in the Hennessy Center.
