Queens, NY (1/15/07)  The Dominican College Chargers turned back the Queens College Knights, 66-57 this evening in a non-conference game.

Sophomore Will Carty (Bronx, NY) came off the bench to score a game leading 20 points, shooting 4-7 from beyond the three point arc.  Senior Prince Jackson (Schenectady, NY) added 14 points and nine rebounds, while Ron Wyatt (Washingtonville, NY) had the team's only double-double with 1 points and 11 rebounds.  Forward Shelton Gibbs (Jersey City, NJ) added 10 points, five rebounds and two steals in the win.  Point guard Kevin Buono (Suffern, NY) had a game leading eight assists.

The Knights were led by in the Lance Hazel with 18 points and 10 rebounds.  Marvin Lawrence netted 11 points, while Hassan Washington scored 10 points in the loss.

Dominican is back in action on Saturday when they host Goldey-Beacom College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action.  Game time is slated for 3pm on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
