Post Eagles Soar Past Dominican Chargers, 89-54

Waterbury, CT (1/22/07) The Post University Eagles men's basketball team soared past the Dominican College Chargers, 89-54 this evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action at the Drubner Center.

Post Eagles Soar Past Dominican Chargers, 89-54

Waterbury, CT (1/22/07)  The Post University Eagles men's basketball team soared past the Dominican College Chargers, 89-54 this evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action at the Drubner Center.

The Eagles jumped out to an early 10-3 lead en route to a 38-20 lead at the half.  The Chargers struggled from the floor, shooting only 23.1% (6-26).

The Chargers had only one player in double figures as junior forward Shelton Gibbs         (Jersey City, NJ) led the team with 10 points.  Senior Prince Jackson (Schenectady, NY) added nine points, while Chaz Holloway (Caldwell, NJ) netted seven points in the loss.

The Eagles were led by Arthur Robertson with 20 points and 12 rebounds.  Peter Lawal and Omar Robinson each had 14 points in the win.  AJ Reitter added 13 points and two blocks off the bench.

With the win, the Eagles improve to 10-8 overall and 8-3 in the CACC, while the Chargers fall to 8-9 overall and 6-5 in the CACC.

Dominican is back in action on Saturday when they host Felician College in CACC men's action.  Game time is set for 8pm.
