OAKDALE, NY-Senior attack Chris DuPignac (Ronkonkoma, NY) netted five goals to lead six Golden Lions in multiple scoring as Dowling defeated the Dominican Chargers, 24-4, on March 18. The #6 Golden Lions continue their three game winning streak to remain undefeated with a 3-0 record as Dominican falls to 1-3.

OAKDALE, NY-Senior attack Chris DuPignac (Ronkonkoma, NY) netted five goals to lead six Golden Lions in multiple scoring as Dowling defeated the Dominican Chargers, 24-4, on March 18. The #6 Golden Lions continue their three game winning streak to remain undefeated with a 3-0 record as Dominican falls to 1-3.
Sophomore Nick Cotter (Selden, NY) connected with the back of the net to open up scoring in the first minute of play. The Golden Lions quickly gained a 3-0 advantage as Kevin Rimmer (Lindenhurst, NY) and Ryan Campbell (Brampton, Ontario) each netted a goal in under a minute. Owen Smith III (Upper Saddle River, NJ) stepped up for the Chargers as he placed two in the net to close in on Dowling’s advantage and end the quarter 7-3.
The Golden Lions shut out the Chargers in the middle quarters, allowing only 4 shots, while they fired in 13 goals to gain a 20-3 edge. Dowling snagged four more goals in the fourth quarter while Charger Joe Cobis netted one for Dominican for a 24-4 game at the whistle.
Campbell netted four goals and passed off two assists as DuPignac added two assists to his stats to end the game with a game high seven points. Cotter pitched in with four goals as Rimmer, Joe Militello (Smithtown,NY) and rookie Joe Becker (Huntington, NY) netted two goals each. Becker and freshman Frank Brunetti (Bayville, NY) recorded their first collegiate goal.
