MEN'S LACROSSE LOSES TO MOLLOY COLLEGE

Massapequa, NY (4/26/08)  The Dominican College men's lacrosse team dropped an East Coast Conference (ECC) game to host Molloy College this afternoon.

Molloy opened up the game with a 5-0 run when the Chargers got on the board with a goal by Dan Celebre (Lake Grove, NY) off the pass from Pat O'Shea (Dix Hills, NY).  Molloy scored a goal at the end of the first quarter to take a 6-1 lead.

In the second quarter DC scored first on the man up goal by junior Jeremy Arcaro (New Windsor, NY) with the assist from Jesse Peterson (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan).  The Lions answered back with two straight goals when Owen Smith III (Cornwall, NY) netted a goal.  MC went into the half with a 9-3 lead.

Molloy out scored DC 3-1 in the third with the lone Charger goal coming from Jimmy Tancredi (Bloomingburg, NY) from the pass by Alex Jones (St. Albert, AB).  Dominican scored two goals in the fourth from Jones and Arcaro with senior Kyle Miller assisting on Arcaro's goal as the Lions went on to the 16-6 victory.

Joe Assante (Hicksville, NY) had 14 saves in the net in 42:26 minutes, while Tim Manzella (Riverhead, NY) had four saves in the loss.

With the loss the Chargers fall to 5-8 overall and 0-4 in the ECC.
