PETERSON NAMED THE 2009 MEN'S LACROSSE SCHOLAR-ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

Central Islip, NY (6/30/09) Dominican College sophomore attackman/midfielder Jesse Peterson (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada) has been tabbed the 2009 East Coast Conference Men'sLacrosse Scholar‐Athlete of the Year.

A biology major enrolled in the Pre‐Med program, Peterson boasts a 3.94 GPA. For the second
straight year he topped all Charger student‐athletes with the highest grade point average and
was the recipient of the Top Sophomore Male Scholar‐Athlete award. On the field, the
sophomore team captain led the Chargers with 16 assists while pitching in with seven goals. In
addition to his studies and his participation in athletics, Peterson serves as a peer mentor on
campus.

East Coast Conference Scholar‐Athlete of Year Award recipients are nominated by their
institution and voted upon by the Faculty Athletic Representatives from each ECC institution.
