Robert Kelly Leads #15 Dominican College To Victory Over Post

Waterbury, CT-The Post University men’s soccer team fell to the 15th-ranked Dominican College Chargers, 2-0, in a Division II Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game played at La Moy Field.

Dominican’s keeper Robert Kelly (Kearny, NJ) was the difference. Kelly made six saves throughout the game, but none was more spectacular then his full layout to his right to stop an Adam Sebastian (Naugatuck, CT) goal-bound shot. Kelly also made a kick save of Alex Brito’s (Waterbury, CT) look from inside the box.

In the 30th minute Dominican’s Kyle Clancy (Walden, NY) converted a Jhonny Artega (Stamford, CT) cross. Artega scored to ice the game in the 61st minute off a through ball from the foot of Diego Miranda (Quito, Ecuador).

Dan Nadel (Farmington, CT) made eight saves for Post. Brett Parry (Chandler, AZ) made one of the two Eagle team saves on shots on goal.

Dominican outshot the Eagles 20-12, but Post out cornered the Chargers 5-2

Dominican (7-1, 4-0 CACC) will host Saint Thomas Aquinas Thursday at 3:30.
