Blauvelt, NY (10/18/05) The Dominican College men’s soccer team jumped from previously being ranked third in the region and eighteenth in the nation into the top ten by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), as was announced this afternoon.

In the NSCAA/Adidas regional poll, the Chargers took over the top spot after defeating both the College of St. Rose and #6 Caldwell College this past week.

In the national poll, Dominican is now ranked eighth out of twenty-five teams throughout NCAA Division II members.

This is the highest regional and national ranking for DC this year. Their highest regional ranking had been second and nationally was thirteenth earlier in the year.

The Chargers are currently 12-1 overall and 6-0 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). They are in sole possession of first place in the CACC after the win against Caldwell, 3-1 on October 16 and are on a twelve game winning streak.
