Dominican Turns Back Nyack College, 4-0

Nyack, NY - (10/18/05) Kyle Clancy tallied 3 goals for a hatrick this afternoon as Dominican College (#8 in the nation, #1 in the region) defeated Nyack College 4-0.

Clancy didn't waste any time getting started as he scored the first goal of the game just over a minute and a half into the game. Jhonny Artega scored 12 minutes later when he beat Nyack keeper Matt Andre to the left side. The score would remain 2-0 going into halftime.

Clancy put the game away midway through the second half as he scored 2 unassisted goals within a minute of each other. His third goal was his most spectacular as he juked a Nyack defender and got a shot off from about 25 yards out. The ball was a rocket into the upper right hand corner that hit the cross bar and bounced straight down behind the line for a goal.

Dominican outshot Nyack 9-5 and had 3 corner kicks to Nyack's 1. Nyack falls to 7-5-3 overall and 3-2-2 in the CACC while Dominican improves to 13-1 overall and 7-0 in the CACC.
