soccer action. With the win Dominican remains undefeated in

Nyack got on the board first in the 18th minute on a goal from
Sammy Oduro (Toronto, Canada). He headed the
ball in off of a corner kick from Stephen Terpstra (Pompton
Plains, NJ). Just over a minute later Joseph
Ruesgen (Campbeltown, Scotland) scored on a header from a
Ryan Clancy (Pine Bush, NY) corner kick.
Clancy would score on an assist from Ruesgen
before the half to bring the score to 2-1 in Dominican's favor.
Dominican started off the scoring in the second half right away as
James Hamilton (Renfrewshire, Scotland) scored off
of a rebound from Clancy to put the Chargers up
3-1. Nyack would answer quickly with a goal of their own just
2 minutes later. Greg Allen (Mayfield, NY)
headed the ball in for the Warriors off of another corner kick by
Terpstra to bring the score to 3-2. In the 62nd minute
Ryan Gomas (Falcon, CO) kicked the ball in from
outside the 18 yard line when the Dominican keeper was caught out
too far to break up a play. Gomas's goal tied the
game at 3.
The game went into overtime and Nyack saw themselves at a
disadvantage right away as Oduro picked up his
second yellow card on the day on a questionable call.
Nevertheless Nyack had to play a man down during the overtime
period. The first overtime ended with the score still knotted
at 3.
In the 104th minute Clancy broke through
the defense on a long ball from Ruesgen.
Clancy got by Nyack keeper Jack
Carillo (Cornwall, NY) and scored on an empty net for the
game winner.
