New Haven, CT (9/4/07) Dominican College senior midfielder Jhonny Arteaga has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, September 2. Wilmington freshman Joe Stant has been tabbed CACC Rookie of the Week.

New Haven, CT (9/4/07) Dominican College senior midfielder Jhonny Arteaga has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, September 2. Wilmington freshman Joe Stant has been tabbed CACC Rookie of the Week.
Arteaga, a senior from Stamford, CT,
tallied five total points in a 2-0-1 week for the Chargers. He had
two goals in a 3-0 victory over American International and assisted
on the game-winning goal in an overtime victory over Merrimack.
Stant, a midfielder from Dover, DE, netted the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory over Saint Thomas Aquinas Saturday afternoon. With Stant's help, the Wildcats went 2-0 during the week.

Andrew Thorne, Chestnut Hill (So., F, 5-8, Nazareth, PA) - Collected two goals in a 3-1 victory over Concordia in CHC's first contest in Division II.
Eurica Trowers, Post (So., F, 5-9, Bronx, NY) - Scored two goals in a 3-2 loss to Molloy.
CACC Notes
Felician - Sophomore midfielder Conrad Symber scored his first career goal in Wednesday's loss to C.W. Post. Junior goalie Paulo DosSantos made 24 saves in the AIC Classic, including a career-high 13 in Sunday's loss to Merrimack.
Post - The Post men's soccer team opened the season facing two of the top 10 teams in the country, falling to No. 6 Southern Connecticut State 1-0, and No.9 Franklin Pierce 5-0 in the SCSU Autumn Classic. The Eagles returned home and fell to Molloy 3-2 on September 1.
