Syracuse, NY  (10/9/07) On the strength of a second half goal from Sean Lawlor, Le Moyne's men's soccer team knocked off nationally-ranked Dominican, 1-0, at the Thomas J. Niland Athletic Complex. With the non-conference victory, the Dolphins move to 10-2-2 overall and remain 7-2-2 in the Northeast-10. The Chargers fall to 8-2-5 but remain perfect at 6-0-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).

Both teams remained scoreless after one half of play and had to sit through a lightning delay that caused a 40-minute stoppage during halftime. With 27:25 remaining, Lawlor sent in a free kick from just outside of the box for his second goal of the season.

For the game, the Chargers held a 19-11 advantage in shots.

In goal, Steve White earned the shutout with 12 saves.

Charger keeper  Robert Kelly (Kearny, NJ) had three saves in the loss.

Dominican is back in action on Saturday when they travel to Goldey-Beacom College in CACC action.  Game time is 3pm.
