DOMINICAN SOCCER CHARGES BACK TO DEFEAT GOLDEY-BEACOM COLLEGE
Orangeburg, NY (9/20/08) The Dominican College mens soccer team erased a 2-0 deficit to score three consecutive goals to defeat the visiting Lightning of Goldey-Beacom College, 3-2 this afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) mens soccer action.

Junior midfielder David Nimroozi (Newark, DE) netted the game's first goal, putting the ball into the bottom left corner of the net past a diving Charger keeper.
GBC took a 2-0 lead at 27:27 when freshman Robert Cann (Wilmington, DE) scored a goal.
The Chargers cut the lead to 2-1 late in the first half as sophomore Edwin Miranda (Stamford, CT) converted a penalty kick at 41:41.
Miranda knotted the game at 2-2 at 56:10 when he converted his second penalty kick.
Junior forward Joe Wright (Statford-Upon-Avon) netted the game winner at 79:54 off the dish by sophomore Craig Simpson (Perth, Australia).
The Chargers controlled the offensive part of the game, out shooting the Lightning 22-8.
GBC keeper Garret Shuler (Elkton, MD) had eight saves, while DC keeper Brandon Heembrock (Ottawa, Canada) had four saves.
With the win the Chargers improve to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in the CACC, while the Lightning fall to 1-5 overall and 1-0 in the CACC.
Dominican is back in action next Sunday when they host Holy Family University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men's soccer game. Game time is set for 12pm at the SUNY-Purchase Turf Field.
