DOMINICAN MEN'S SOCCER MOVE UP IN REGIONAL AND NATIONAL RANKINGS
Orangeburg, NY (10/22/08) The Dominican College men's soccer team has moved up sixth spots in the national rankings and one spot in the regional rankings as was released by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) yesterday.
Orangeburg, NY (10/22/08) The Dominican College men's soccer team has moved up sixth spots in the national rankings and one spot in the regional rankings as was released by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) yesterday.
In the NSCAA/Adidas National Rankings, the Chargers went from being ranked 22nd last week to a ranking of 16th in the NCAA Division II after posting a 2-0 record last week. Dominican defeated two Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponents, Nyack College, 2-0 and regionally ranked, Wilmington University, 1-0. DC is the only team from the CACC in the national rankings.
In the NSCAA/Adidas East Regional Rankings, Dominican moved up from third to second in the region, behind Southern New Hampshire University. Fellow CACC members Wilmington University and Bloomfield College are ranked eighth and tenth in the region.
The Chargers are currently 11-2-1 overall and 7-0-1 in the CACC. DC squares off against Bloomfield College tomorrow afternoon in CACC men's soccer action.
