Dominican College Announces 2006 Softball Schedule

Blauvelt, NY (10/13/05) Dominican College softball coach, Rick Krasny, has announced the Lady Chargers 2006 schedule. This season, the Lady Chargers will face several top teams, including Adelphi University, C.W. Post University and Dowling College.

The Lady Charger Softball Team had a difficult 2005 season, ending the year with an overall record of 19-26 and a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) record of 8-12. The team just missed a berth in the CACC Tournament, but showed improvement in many areas.

Dominican will open up the 2006 season with the annual spring break trip. This year, the Lady Chargers will spend ten days in Fort Myers, Florida in preparation for their season. Upon their return, DC will have their home opener against the University of Bridgeport on March 17 at 2:30 pm. On the 18th, Dominican will travel to the College of St. Rose for a 12pm double header. Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play will begin on March 21 as the Lady Chargers will host Goldey Beacom College.
