Dominican Softball Improve to 4-1 With Win Over St. Joseph's College (IN), 2-0

Ft. Myer's Fla (3/7/06) The Dominican College softball team improved to 4-1 on the year with a 2-0 victory over St. Joseph's College (IN) this afternoon at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic.

Dominican scored both runs in the fourth inning as senior Kim Cornacchio (Poughkeepsie, NY) executed a suicide squeeze, scoring fellow senior Katie Farrugia (Cornwall, NY). Freshman Melanie Hestermann (Lacey Township, NJ) followed with an RBI single, scoring Jackie Terpstra (Middletown, NY).

Sophomore Christine Stathes (Cornwall, NY) improved to 2-0 on the year with the shut out win.
