Dominican Lady Chargers Edge Assumption College, 5-4

Ft. Myer's Fla. (3/9/06) Senior Katie Farrugia (Cornwall, NY) got the game winning hit as Dominican College edged Assumption College, 5-4 this morning at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic.

Farrugia's single scored freshman Jamie Ollari (Hopatcong, NJ) to give the Lady Chargers the 5-4 win.

Freshman Melanie Hestermann (Lacey Township, NJ) and Sarah Beck (Milton, NY) both hit their first collegiate home runs in the game, while sophomore Kristine Knuth (Staten Island, NY) hit her first homer of the season.

Michelle Bark (West Milford, NJ) got her second win of the season.
