Dahl, Holtom And Beck Earn Weekly Softball Awards
New Haven, CT (4/17/06) Anna Dahl of Caldwell has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player and co-Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 16. Crista Holtom of Post was named co-Pitcher of the Week and Sarah Beck of Dominican was the Rookie of the Week selection.

New Haven, CT (4/17/06) Anna Dahl of Caldwell has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player and co-Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 16. Crista Holtom of Post was named co-Pitcher of the Week and Sarah Beck of Dominican was the Rookie of the Week selection.
Dahl, a junior righty from Lindenwold, NJ, hit .632 (12-for-19) in a 7-1 week and earned a 1.053 slugging percentage and a .652 on-base percentage. She hit two home runs, drove in five runs and crossed the plate five times. She had four multiple-hit games and went 2-for-2 with a home run, two runs and two RBI in the second game of a double-header against Philadelphia.
As a pitcher, Dahl went 3-0 for the week with a 0.37 ERA. She allowed just seven hits over 19.0 innings of work with 16 strikeouts. She went 7.0 innings and allowed only three hits, no earned runs and fanned six against Wilmington.
Holtom, a senior righty from Waterloo, Ontario, also went 3-0 with a 1.00 ERA last week. She had 23 strikeouts in 21 innings of work and walked just one batter. She shutout the region's third-ranked team, Dominican, and followed with another CACC shutout over Philadelphia.
Beck earns CACC honors for the second time this
season, as she was named Player of the Week on March 27. Beck, who
hails from Milton, NY, hit .444 (8-of-18) with two home runs, six
RBI and five runs scored for the week. She went 2-for-4 with three
RBI and two runs scored to go with a home run against Post and also
left the park against St. Thomas Aquinas.
