Dominican College selected as Top seed in 2006 ECAC Division II Softball Championship

Cape Cod, Mass. (5/8/06) - Dominican College has been selected the top seed in the 2006 ECAC DII Softball Championship. The Chargers enter the tournament with an overall record of 37-17. The tournament is a four-team field with all rounds being held at the Georgian Court University. The teams selected are members of CACC and NYCAC Conferences.

Dominican will play the No. 4 seed, University of Bridgeport (21-21) in the first game on Saturday, May 13 at 10 a.m. The No. 2 seed Georgian Court (27-15) will meet Felician College (25-23), the No. 3 seed in the second game at 12 p.m.

The championship game will take place on Sunday at 12 p.m.

Game No. 1: No. 1 Dominican vs. No. 4 Bridgeport, 10 a.m.
Game No. 2: No. 2 Georgian Court vs. No. 3 Felician, 12 p.m.

Game No. 4: Winner of Game No. 1 vs. Winner of Game No. 2, 4 p.m.
