Knuth, Ollari And Garrison Named To All-CACC Softball Team
Blauvelt, NY (5/1/07) Dominican College softball players Kristine Knuth, Jamie Ollari and Danielle Garrison have been named to the All-CACC Second Team in a vote conducted by the conference's 12 head coaches.
Knuth, a junior first basemen from Staten Island,
NY, is one of this year's captains of the Lady Chargers. She
is sporting a .404 batting average this season to lead the
team. Knuth is first on the team with four
triples, second with 44 hits, tied for second with six doubles and
is third with 21 RBIs. She is currently ranked in a tie for
sixth place in the CACC in batting and third in triples.
Ollari, a sophomore outfielder from Hopatcong, NJ,
is third on the team with a .340 average, is tied for first on the
team in home runs with 8 on the season, leads the team with 38 RBIs
and is second on the team in triples and tied for second in
doubles. Ollari is tied for fourth in the
CACC in home runs, third in RBIs and is 23rd in batting
average. She was named CACC Player of the Week April 9 after
hitting .875 for the week.
Garrison, a freshman from Coatesville, PA, was named
as a designated player to the second team with a .322
average. In her rookie year, she's collected 17 RBIs, hit
five home runs and has a .938 fielding percentage. When not
in the dp spot, Garrison has also appeared in 20
games as a pitcher. She has a 4.28 ERA and a 5-3 record this
season. She is second on the team with 39 strikeouts in 50
2/3 innings.
The Lady Chargers finished the regular season with a 19-19 overall record and a 11-11 CACC record, just missing a spot in the upcoming CACC Tournament.
