KNUTH, OLLARI NAMED TO 2007 LOUISVILLE SLUGGER/NFCA DIVISION II ALL-REGION TEAM
Blauvelt, NY (5/11/07) Dominican College softball players, Kristine Knuth and Jamie Ollari have been named to the 2007 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II Northeast All-Region Second Team as was announced by the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association.
Knuth, a junior first basemen from Staten Island,
NY, was one of this year's captains of the Lady Chargers. She
sported a .404 batting average this season to lead the team.
Knuth finished first on the team with four
triples, second with 44 hits, tied for second with six doubles and
is third with 21 RBIs. She was currently ranked in a tie for
sixth place in the CACC in batting and third in triples. She
was also named to the All-CACC Second Team and the Daktronics
Northeast Region Second Team.
Ollari, a sophomore outfielder from Hopatcong, NJ,
was third on the team with a .340 average, tied for first on the
team in home runs with 8 on the season, led the team with 38 RBIs
and was second on the team in triples and tied for second in
doubles. Ollari wass tied for fourth in the
CACC in home runs, third in RBIs and is 23rd in batting
average. She was named CACC Player of the Week April 9 after
hitting .875 for the week. Ollari was also
named to the All-CACC Second Team
