Holy Family Splits While Dominican Loses Two

Blauvelt, NY – (09/24/05) New Jersey Institute of Technology women’s volleyball team swept both Dominican College and Holy Family University in a CACC tri-match held at Dominican College this afternoon.

The first match of the day saw New Jersey Institute of Technology pull away with a 3-2 victory over host Dominican College. Freshman Agnieszka Pregowswka (Bridgewater, NJ) led all attackers with 29 kills, while Danielle Thompson(Stony Brook, NY) had 46 assists. For the Lady Chargers, Kinikia Collier (Garnerville, NY) led the team with 14 kills and senior setter Megan Earl

(Greenville, NY) had 34 assists.

The second match saw NJIT dominate Holy Family University, winning in three straight games. Pregowska led all attackers again with 25 kills, while Thompson added 33 assists. For the Lady Tigers Emily Culp (Bensalem, PA) led the team with 10 kills.

The third match saw Holy Family squeak by with a 3-2 win over Dominican. Kim Hockenbrock (Eagleville, PA) and Culp led the Lady Tigers with 14 kills a piece, while Jen O’Conner (Wilmington, DE) had 38 assists. For the Lady Chargers, Collier led all attackers with 17 kills, while Pearl River local, Theresa Hanneman contributed 10 kills. Earl had 38 assists.
