Wilmington Volleyball Downs Dominican in Three
'Cats Pick Up First Home Win of the Season

New Castle, DE - The Wildcats of Wilmington College picked up their
first home win of the season with a 3-0 (30-23, 30-25, 30-25) victory
over the visiting Chargers of Dominican College in CACC volleyball
action Thursday evening at the Pratt Center.
Junior Kristin Wiedeman paced the Wildcats as she recorded 13 kills, 22
digs, and a hitting percentage of .393 on the night. Freshman Denise
Mentis added 13 kills, while junior Jenny Todd had a strong showing with
7 kills, 12 digs, and 3 blocks. Senior Angie Estep added 4 kills, 18
digs, and 26 assists.
Dominican was led by Kinikia Collier who recorded 12 kills and 20 digs
for the double-double. Megan Earl chipped in with 7 kills, 14 digs, and
21 assists, while Jennifer Rivera had 12 digs for the Chargers.
With the win, Wilmington improved to 5-3 in the CACC and 6-12 overall,
while Dominican fell to 3-6 in the CACC and 4-8 overall.
