Dominican Volleyball Splits CACC Tri-Match

WILMINGTON, DE (10/1/05)Goldey-Beacom (10-4, 9-2 CACC) went 2-0 during a CACC tri-match Saturday afternoon on their home court, while Dominican went 1-1.
The Lady Lightning won the opening match 3-0 (30-4, 30-27, 31-29) over NYACK. GBCÂ’s top performers were Norah Burdette (15 Kills), Danielle Hicks (40 Assists), Ashley Carberry (5 Blocks), and Clare Phillips (15 Digs). Leading the way for NYACK was Lisa Schlea and Wendy Paige who each tallied 8 kills.
The second match of the day had Dominican defeating NYACK 3-0 (30-25, 30-16, 30-15). Megan Earl lead Dominican with 39 assists and Kinikia Collier added 9 kills.
In the nightcap GBC defeated Dominican 3-0 (30-18, 30-10, 30-21). Ashley Carberry led the Lightning with 15 kills and 5 blocks and Danielle Hicks added 35 assists. Kinikia Collier led Dominican again with 9 kills.
