Dominican Rallies to Defeat Holy Family University, 3-2

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (10/4/05) Dominican (6-9, 5-7 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference) down two games to one, rallied to take the fourth game and the deciding game Tuesday night in a 3-2 win over Holy Family (7-12, 5-5 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference) in conference play.
Game scores were 26-30, 32-30, 30-26, 22-30 and 6-15.
The Chargers won the rematch between the two schools, as Holy Family scored a 3-2 decision over Dominican back on September 24.
For the Chargers, Kinikia Collier had a match-high 20 kills to go along with 22 digs as Dominican had a .130 attack percentage on the night. Megan Earl had 45 assists along with 23 digs, while Kaitlin Earl had a team-high 25 digs.
For Holy Family, Kelly Nepi (Sr./Wilmington, DE/St. Elizabeth) had a team-high 17 kills and 31 digs. Kelly Cummins (Fr./Philadelphia, PA/John W. Hallahan) had 29 digs, while Emily Culp (Sr./Bensalem, PA/Nazareth Academy) had 14 kills. The Tigers had a match-high 19 kills in the second game, but only gained four kills in the fifth and deciding contest.
