Le Moyne College Volleyball Downs Dominican, 3-0

Blauvelt, NY (9/17/06) The Le Moyne College women’s volleyball team defeated host Dominican College Lady Chargers, 3-0 this afternoon in a non-conference match held at the Hennessy Center.

Blauvelt, NY (9/17/06) The Le Moyne College women's volleyball team defeated host Dominican College Lady Chargers, 3-0 this afternoon in a non-conference match held at the Hennessy Center.

Le Moyne took the first game 30-23, won the second 30-16 and ended the match with a 30-25 game three victory.

The Dolphins were led by senior Jody Hammond (Bloomfield, NY) who led all attackers with 14 kills.  Sophomore outside hitter Jodi Smith (Angola, NY) added nine kills in the win, while Emily O'Hara (Altamont, NY) and Kristin Cobb(Cincinnatus, NY) each contributed 6 kills.  Senior setter Julie McLaud (Pine Bush, NY) had 40 assists.

The Lady Chargers were led by sophomore Theresa Hanneman (Pearl River, NY) with eight kills, while Kinikia Collier (Garnerville, NY) added 7 kills and setter Kaitlin Earl (Greenville, NY) had 22 assists in the loss.

With the win, Le Moyne improves to 9-6 on the year, while Dominican falls to 0-9.

Dominican will be in action on Monday September 18th when they travel to Caldwell College for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match scheduled for 7pm in Caldwell, NJ.
