PEREZ DISHED OUT 41 AS BC DOWNS DOMINICAN, 3-0

Bloomfield, NJ (10/12/07) The Bloomfield College women's
volleyball team improved to 9-14 overall and 7-2 in the CACC with a
3-0 (30-22, 30-28, 30-19) victory over Dominican
College. The Lady Chargers now stand at 3-10
overall and 3-7 CACC. Sonia
Perez led Bloomfield to its sixth straight North Division
victory with 41 assists, two aces and seven
digs.
BC took game one 30-22 as Ursula
Pereira pounded seven kills and pick up five
digs. Perez dished out eight
assists and Nilmara Zanette picked up nine digs on
defense.
The Lady Deacons took game two 30-28, but not
with out a struggle. BC had game point at 29-24
before allowing Dominican to run off the next four points, closing
the gap to one at 29-28, but held on for the
win. Pereira pounded seven more
kills in game two while Brunna Coutinho chipped in
with four kills and Perez served up 14 more
assists.
The Lady Deacons closed out the match with an
easy 30-19 victory in game three.
Pereira closed the final game with five kills,
Coutinho tacked on four more kills to her game
total and Perez posted 15 assists in the final
stanza.
For the match Kinikia Collier
led Dominican with seven kills and 13 digs.
Antoinette Hacket tallied a match high 17
digs.
Pereira finished the night with
20 kills, eight digs and four total blocks.
Coutinho added 11 kills, two aces and seven digs; while Perez
capped off her outstanding performance with 41 assists, two aces
and seven digs.
