WOMEN: POST EDGE DOMINICAN IN TIGHT HOOPS GAME

WATERBURY, CT-The Post University women's basketball team defeated the Chargers of Dominican College, 76-70, in a women's college basketball game played at Post University's Drubner Center.

Dominican led by as many as eight (17-9) in the first half. Dominican led at the half 33-28. Post would score seven of the second half's first nine points to even the score at 35-35. Post would not lead until the 14:05 mark of the second half, despite the fact there were seven ties. Once the Eagles led, 48-47 Dominican came right back to hit back-to-back threes. Dominican led 57-50 with 10:14, when Post would make a run. The Eagles 17-4 run would be the difference in the game. Post led by as many as seven in the second half.

Post was led by the 23 point, 13 rebound effort of Telisha Moultrie (Bronx, NY). She shot 9-13 from the floor. Marjorie Prado (Manhattan, NY) also had 23 for the victors. Tadj Williams (Albany, NY) added 13 boards and eight points.

For Dominican, Jill Younghans had 15 points on five three-point shots. Dana Rotio added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Post held a 54-48 rebounding edge and out shot Dominican 41%-33%. The game saw 55 turnovers, 27 of which were via Dominican.
