New Haven, CT - Megan Bauer of Holy Family University has been named the Women's Basketball Player of the Week in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) for the week ending Sunday, January 21. Dominican College freshman Adele Laskowski has earned the nod for Rookie of the Week.

New Haven, CT - Megan Bauer of Holy Family University has been named the Women's Basketball Player of the Week in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) for the week ending Sunday, January 21. Dominican College freshman Adele Laskowski has earned the nod for Rookie of the Week.
Bauer, a 6-3 senior center from Norwood, PA, averaged 16.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 2.0 assists in a 3-0 week for the Tigers. She scored her 1,000th career point during a 21-point, 11-rebound effort against Wilmington on Tuesday. She also registered 18 points, nine rebounds and four blocks at Goldey-Beacom on Thursday.
Laskowski, a 5-9 freshman forward, posted an
average of 23 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in a 2-0 week
for the Chargers. She tallied 25 points and seven rebounds against
Georgian Court on Tuesday and followed with 21 points and three
rebounds against Goldey-Beacom.
Honorable Mention
Kim Rowley, Goldey-Beacom - Averaged 14.5 points and 17.0 rebounds per-game and shot 50.0-percent from the field.
Alisha Ferguson, Philadelphia - Registered 20.0 points and 13.5 rebounds per-game and shot 66.7-percent from the field.
CACC Notes
Caldwell - Sophomore forward Mackenzie Lynch recorded two double-doubles last week, giving her nine double-doubles on the season. The Cougars' 76-72 victory over Post on Jan. 18 was their eighth win of the year, matching last year's victory total.
Georgian Court - The Lions travel to the University of the Sciences Monday night. The Lions are looking to pick up their first CACC win since beating Felician in December. The Lions are led this season by junior Stephanie Longdo who is averaging 11.6 points per game. Longdo is 8th in the conference with a 1.01 assist-to-turnover ratio and is averaging 5.1 assists per game.
Holy Family - The Tigers have won 38 straight regular-season conference games, and are ranked 20th in Division II by the USA Today/WBCA coaches poll. The 91 points scored in the win over Post was the Tigers' highest offensive output of the season.
Philadelphia - Senior center Alisha Ferguson continues her quest to become just the third Lady Rams' player in school history to record 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. She needs 39 points and 72 rebounds to accomplish the feat.
USP - USP has now won six straight CACC games. Rashanna Edwards recorded a career-high 11 assists vs. Nyack. In the latest NCAA statistics release, the Devils are ranked sixth nationally in free throw percentage (77.85) and 12th nationally in blocked shots per game (4.8). Senior Shelby Rance is ranked 47th nationally in free throw percentage (85.3) while Lori Sedina is ranked 51st nationally in blocked shots (1.6/gm).
