Blauvelt, NY -- Dominican College Athletic Director, Joe Clinton, has announced the hiring of Erin Horan as the college’s first ever head women’s lacrosse coach.

Horan, a Rockland local, is a graduate of Siena College where she spent four years as a member of the Division I Saints Women’s Lacrosse Team. She was elected as team treasurer as a junior and was the team president in her senior year.

Prior to Siena College, she spent four years as a member of the girls’ lacrosse team at Albertus Magnus High School in Bardonia, NY. She was named both co-captain and the team’s Most Valuable Player in her senior year. She also coached at the camp held at Albertus Magnus and played in the Rockland County Summer League prior to college.

“We are excited to have Erin build a quality women’s lacrosse program here at Dominican College. She is an outstanding person who will be able to take the challenge and run with it,” said Joe Clinton.

Horan will be starting up the women’s lacrosse program at Dominican College. The team will look to have a club season next year, followed by a full Division II schedule in 2006-2007 year.
