With the loss the Lady Chargers fall to 1-6 overall and 1-5 in the CACC.
The Griffins got on the board with a goal just 0:56 seconds into the first half when the Lady Chargers answered back with two straight goals off the sticks of Elizabeth Schmidt (Montgomery, NY) and Kimberly Nunez (Fair Lawn, NJ) to take a 2-1 lead.
A 3-0 run by CHC regained the lead at 4-2, but Sarah Kiernan (Saugerties, NY) netted an unassisted goal to cut the deficit to 4-3 with 16:08 left in the first half. A second string of three straight goals by the Griffins put them ahead 7-3, but once again the Lady Chargers answered back with a 2-0 run off of goals by Aubree Williams (Great Meadows, NJ) and Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, NY) to cut the lead to 7-5.
Chestnut Hill went on in the remaining 7:58 of the first half to outscore Dominican 4-3 to head into the intermission with an 11-8 lead. Silje Karlsen (Vernon, NJ) tallied her first goal of the game, followed by Fiorvanti's second off the pass from Williams and Amanda Matos's (Vernon, NJ) unassisted goal with 4:23 to go.
CHC started off the second half with two consecutive goals to build up a five goal advantage, but the Lady Chargers charged back with three unanswered goals, two by Williams to complete the hat trick and one by Jessica Bianchi (East Islip, NY) with assists credited to Fiorvanti and Nunez to once again cut the deficit to two goals at 13-11.
Dominican was outscored in the final 21 minutes of action 5-2 in leading CHC to the 18-13 victory. Nunez recorded her second goal of the game off the assist from Karlsen and Williams netted her fourth goal of the game off the dish from Bianchi.
Senior goalie Lindsey Grundfast (Saugerties, NY) made 14 saves in the loss.
