SCSU Defeats Dominican, 6-0

New Haven, Conn (8/31/05) – Freshman Gina DellaRose (Prospect, CT/ Woodland Reg.) scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Southern Connecticut State University women’s soccer team to a 6-0 win over Dominican College in a non-conference match at Jess Dow Field.

DellaRose leads SCSU Women’s Soccer to 6-0 victory over Dominican College

New Haven, Conn (8/31/05) – Freshman Gina DellaRose (Prospect, CT/ Woodland Reg.) scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Southern Connecticut State University women’s soccer team to a 6-0 win over Dominican College in a non-conference match at Jess Dow Field.
 
Annmarie Janes (Shelton,CT/Shelton) opened the scoring for the Owls in the third minute of the game, on an assist from Allison Ahearn (Farmingville, NY / Sachem North). Ahearn also tallied a goal for the Owls. Theresa Viscardi (Lake Ronkonkoma, NY / Sachem) and freshman Katharine Killebrew ( Wilmington, DE / Brandywine) rounded out the scoring for Southern, who improved to 3-0. Dominican dropped to 0-1.
 
Stephanie McGinley and Amanda Marchetti shared the shutout as the Owls outshot the Lady Chargers 15-1.
