Dominican Ties With Wilmington, 2-2
Blauvelt, NY (9/17/05) Dominican College (2-3-1, 2-0-1) tied with Wilmington College (4-3-1, 2-0-1) in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game held at Dominican College this afternoon.
Dominican got an early goal by sophomore Jen Ditzig (Brick, NJ) off an indirect kick at 10:37. However Wilmington would get the goal back at 38:10 when Begum Malali (Galloway, NJ) scored off the assist by Danielle Seymanski (Smyra, DE).
Wilmington would go up 2-1 in the second half as sophomore Christina Knight (Bel Air, MD) netted a goal off the assist Amy Waggoner (Baltimore, MD) at 67:52. Dominicans Michelle Cusano (Stony Point, NY) tied the game at 2-2 with a goal off the pass by freshman Angela Correia (Elizabeth, NJ) at 75:43.
The game ended in a tie after two overtime periods went scoreless. Lady Wildcat goal keeper, Catie Joynes (Bel Air, MD) made 10 saves, while Lady Charger Allison Comentino (Ellenville, NY) had four saves for the Lady Chargers.
