Dominican Victorious Over Post, 2-0

Blauvelt, NY (9/21/05) Dominican College improved their record to 3-4-1 and 3-0-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference after turning back Post University, 2-0 this afternoon in a game held at Dominican College. Post falls to 1-6-2 and 1-2-1 in the CACC.

Sophomore Jen Ditzig (Brick, NJ) broke a 0-0 tie late in the second period off a corner kick by freshman Marie LaMaida (New Hyde Park, NY) to put the Lady Chargers up 1-0 at 83:46. Dominican freshman Kelly Egan-Thorpe (New Paltz, NY) netted her first collegiate goal off another assist by Angela Correia (Elizabeth, NJ) at 85:14 en route to the 2-0 Lady Charger victory.

For the Eagles, freshman goal keeper Kathryn Fredrickson (Pomfret Center, CT) made five saves in the loss. Lady Charger keeper Allison Comentino(Ellenville, NY) made two saves in the shut out.

The Chargers are back in action on Saturday, September 24 as they travel to St. Thomas Aquinas College for a noon time game.
