Lady Tigers Hand Dominican First Conference Loss, 0-2

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. Holy Family (6-4-1, 5-0-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference) scored a goal in each half as the Tigers won their sixth straight contest Wednesday with a 2-0 win over Dominican (5-5-1, 4-1-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference) in a battle of first place teams.

The Tigers, who are ranked tenth in the New England Region, also pitched their fourth straight shutout and senior goalkeeper Kristy Cusick (Sr./Philadelphia, PA/George Washington) held the opponents scoreless for the fifth straight time. She made just two saves on the afternoon.

Holy Family took a 1-0 lead at 36:30 when Maureen O’Neill (Jr./Philadelphia, PA/St. Hubert’s) scored from the left side for her fifth goal of the year. The Tigers added an insurance goal in the 83rd minute when Aileen Duddy (Fr./Toms River, NJ/Central Regional) scored her first goal of the season off a throw-in from Rachel Kletzman (Fr./Philadelphia, PA/Little Flower). The Tigers outshot Dominican 19-3 on the afternoon.

Allison Comentino made seven saves for Dominican on the day.
