Dominican's Correia Named CACC Rookie of the Week

NEW HAVEN, CT - NJIT's Erika Taugher has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the period of Sept. 26-Oct. 2. Angela Correia of Dominican College has been tabbed the conference Rookie of the Week.

Correia, who hails from Elizabeth, NJ, recorded seven total points on three goals and one assist last week. The freshman found the back of the net three times in a 5-0 victory over Felician on Monday.

Taugher, a sophomore, notched three goals for a total of six points as the Highlanders went 2-0 in conference play last week. The Oakville, Canada, native netted the game-winning goal versus Goldey-Beacom on Thursday in a 2-1 triumph.
